WHY UTUNNEL VPN

Why Deploy an AWS VPN Server With UTunnel

UTunnel VPN helps you establish secure connections between your data center networks, branch offices, remote/home users, and your Amazon AWS VPC. You can easily deploy site-to-site and remote access VPN at predictable costs with our solution. Multi-platform client apps are available for end-users to get connected quickly.

Seamlessly Setup Your Private Network

Your VPN server can be set up by running just 3 commands. All you need is a registration token which is available with your UTunnel subscription to deploy our VPN server software suite in AWS. You can create your AWS instance with a pre-installed UTunnel VPN server from the AWS marketplace.

Predictable Costs With Simplified Billing

No complicated billing process to worry about. The VPN server software is provided at no cost to you. You pay only for the number of VPN accounts you create and maintain in the VPN software, making costs highly predictable. Plus, our monthly subscription plans give you great flexibility.

Unmatched Scalability and Flexibility

You can scale your AWS server as per your needs and users can be added or removed on your UTunnel subscription anytime. This allows for unlimited scaling for your VPN infra and provides added flexibility. You can even redeploy your cloud VPN server with a different IP while keeping your users intact.

Peace of Mind With Better Network Visibility

Easily monitor your VPN network with UTunnel’s system logs which keeps a track of all user activity on your network. This helps you identify any suspicious activity on the network and adhere to various compliance requirements while ensuring protection for your organization’s private data.

SECURE AWS RESOURCE ACCESS

Zero Trust Security for Your AWS Cloud Resources

Ensure seamless cloud security for your resources in the AWS environment with UTunnel’s Zero Trust network access solution, OneClick Access.

Seamless Deployment

Deploying your UTunnel server in your AWS VPC and adding HTTP/HTTPS, RDP, or SSH resources as OneClick apps allows single-click, agentless access to resources.

Compliance with Security Policies

Zero trust utilizes granular access policies to enable thorough authentication of users and devices before being authorized to access cloud resources located on AWS.

Implement Least Privilege

OneClick access makes sure that the users and devices are granted least-privilege access to specific network resources only to do the required tasks on a need-to-know basis..

Reduced Lateral Movements

The enforcement of segmentation at the network level reduces risks caused by lateral movements and unwanted network exposure which often lead to data breaches.

You will be provided with a registration token from the UTunnel console. Connect to your AWS server via SSH and register your server using the token. Your AWS VPN server is now ready.
Creating and managing your AWS VPN server is quite easy with UTunnel VPN. Once your VPN server is set up, you will be able to view all your server stats and manage all aspects of your server and its configuration via UTunnel’s easy-to-use web dashboard. Yes, definitely. You can set up your VPN server in AWS using their free tier offerings. They currently offer a total of 750 hours per month free usage (enough to run 1 instance 24x7) on their EC2 micro instances in most regions. So, both the Amazon AWS t2.micro (1 vCPU/ 1GB Memory) and t3.micro (2 vCPU/ 1GB Memory) qualify for the free tier. You can set up your VPN server using one of these instances if that fits your requirements. But, you need to be aware of the 15 GB free bandwidth limit per month. If you use more than this limit, standard AWS transfer rates apply.
It is essential to ensure that business data is always encrypted and protected while being transferred over the Internet. When you set up your UTunnel VPN Server in AWS, it makes sure your data is always protected with encryption. UTunnel VPN supports highly secure 256-bit encryption with OpenVPN and IKEv2 protocols.
Businesses often require secure access to private resources like ERP, CRM, HRMS systems, and other business applications. Such systems might already have password protection, but keeping such internal IT applications and servers accessible across the open internet is very risky. Once you set up your Virtual Private Network in AWS, you can whitelist the VPN IP address in these systems and restrict access to them only via the VPN. This adds an additional layer of security to your resources.
If you want to manage teams or user groups on your AWS VPN Server, you should sign up with a business account while creating your UTunnel account. The business account offers the ability to manage user groups and selectively grant access to VPN servers to specific groups. You can easily set up single sign-on integration with a provider of your choice, which will make user management even easier.
