How to Add DNS Host Records in UTunnel Access Gateway

DNS Host Records let you map a single hostname directly to an IP address without the need to configure an entire DNS Zone. This method is ideal for quickly creating standalone entries that resolve from the devices connected to the Access Gateway, making it easy to point to specific internal services without the complexity of managing a full domain structure. It’s similar to adding an entry to the local hosts file on your workstation.

1. Log in to your UTunnel organization account and open the Access Gateway from the main dashboard.

2. Pick your desired gateway and head to the DNS option on the sidebar.

3. Under DNS, you will find a few more options. Navigate to Host Records and click on it.

4. After the DNS HostRecords page is loaded, click on Create Host Record . Fill in the Host Name and IP Address values in the respective fields and click on Submit .

5. Now the Host Record is created and can be used to resolve the specified hostname to the assigned IP address, but only when connected to the Access Gateway.
